No one cares that im busy or out somewhere or maybe i dont feel like going out in the winter and driving across town. I am seriously considering tearing up my license because it seems to benefit everyone but me

well my portfolio interview was 2 weeks ago friday and it actually went really well. I had all of my finished pieces from Ryerson, some new boards and images i create my sketchbook. i had to register at a desk when i got upstairs and sit down with in a large meeting or studio space it looked like. My name got called and i followed one of the OCAD students to a smaller room. There were 12 large desks in the room with students work set up on 11 of them, i walked over to my location and started taking out all my work, it was pretty much no secret that i was looking at others people work and they were looking at mine. In retrospect i wish i had learned how to paint, its was the same thing at the ryerson presentation, no paintings, oh well maybe i'll learn one day. After about 10 minutes a photographer for the school was snaping images of peoples work. I asked a really stupid question and said "which discipline are you in?' he of course said "photography", then we talked a little about my work, he said good luck and was on to the next student. 10 minutes later one of the professors sat down, read my mini personal essay. Then we proceeded into disscussions about my work. This is really where my stories starts, he first said to me "you have a degree from Ryerson Architecture, What do you think you can get out of OCAD?" I responded by talking about Ryersons program, it is technical, fast paced and except for thesis, do not get a chance to indulge in a project. At Ryerson I learned how to design, some arch history and theory, and detail drawing. At OCAD i want to learn why we design, more concept development, refine my own design methodologies and of course get a high enough GPA to get into any masters of architecture program i want.
Back to my interview, after only ten minutes of discussions 2 minutes about my work; 5 minutes about Toronto architecture; 3 minutes about the OCAD program: and 2 minutes about the program he was a professor of. Towards the end of the conversion he said he was going to recommend me for advance standing into the environmental design program. I had to wait for a second professor to interview me all over again and it was prett much the same deal. So now i have to wait until a second interview is scheduled.

people you know, relationships you have, are fleeting
one of the very people from high school that i could still call my friend left today to move to Scotland, I am of course happy for her, she wanted to move there to start her life as she said. Her plan is for a year, then she'll come back, but i could read in her voice that if things worked out for her there she would stay indefinitely.
Tori was always fun to hang out with in school, she wasnt the typical stuck up bitch from my high school, and i wasnt the typical dumb ass jock that plagued the school, we could talk about skateboarding and video games, music and lots of other things.
I suppose im not saying anything that everyone doent already know, someone you care about has left and you feel sad, there is little you can do about it, only to care about the people who are still in your life.
On a happier note, i went to Ryerson today to deliver a CD to Julie and hopefully get a letter of recommendation from Colin. The thesis students were presenting their case studies, I watched for a while and got lost in thinking about architecture and the thesis process and everything I learned at Ryerson. After his presentations I asked Colin for a letter and he said something peculiar. He asked me to met him next week to discuss my transcripts and masters. I can only assume why, he thinks doing another undergrad i may be wasting my time, architecturally i would able to do a masters in arch, but marks wise im not so sure. Anyway im sure he will give me a letter if i ask him.

Well
the semester is coming to an end, classes went well this semester except for geo, (fucking prof)and my thesis is coming together, i watched some presentations in our sister section the other day, and i have to say i was really impressed with some people's projects
The year is have over, my 4 years is almost over, i can remember agonizing nights hand coloring huge pieces of kraft paper, having no idea what the profs were talking about in first year. To say i have no idea what im going to do after graduation is an understatement; i will be getting my masters at u of t eventually, i would to get it right after ryerson but i dont think i have the marks and my portfolio is not prepared yet, i have even considered getting another bachelor of architecture at u of t, to make up some better marks and of course i enjoy it. but if im not attending school in the fall i will be working, hopefully work for a few firms for two years or so and then take a masters, that seem like the most practical choice...
i feel drained, i cant wait for this christmas break

i had my interview today, i got there so early and sat in the car for a while, it was really hot. I think it went well, alot of what i do there there i already do at no frills. Meh if i get the job i get the job, if i dont i dont, it dosnt matter much to me. There going to call next week.
I went into work a bit after the interview Gord seemed mad, he asked me "its only for the summer?" "did you get it?", whatevere dose he think i'll stay there forever or something?
